Mr Crumb is a food manufacturer based in Finea Co Westmeath. We supply a range of food products to retail and food Service markets in Ireland and the UK. An opportunity has arisen in the Supply Chain Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested to building a career in the food industry.

Job description

This position will involve the procurement of all packaging and ingredients for the factory.

Duties to include:

• Maintain supply chain and procurement models and calculate appropriate quantities required to support production plans.
• Process purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and packaging to support the production plans on a daily basis.
• Monitor the performance of suppliers, ensuring adequate quality and lead times.
• Develop and source new options for ingredients and packaging and support the NPD team in developing new products.
• Monitor overall stock levels to ensure appropriate.
• Supervise routine stock takes.
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive raw material prices.
• Monitor supplier credentials and product specifications. Liaise with the Technical team to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Full Training will be provided.

Key skills & experience:

• Third level degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
